WHY IS TURNING POINT CHURCH HERE?
We have been called to be a people who overcome the challenges of life in a God-honoring way…through loving God and our neighbors. This requires us to spend a lifetime growing in three areas…giving, service, and love.
GROWING IN GIVING
We have all been given something in our life. God has given us life and with it the talents, abilities, and relationships which make us who we are…and who we are going to become. Not only that, but the people that He placed in our life have given to us in time, or money, or a place to stay, or even something as simple as a soda. Our desire is to help people to see the gifts in their life and to encourage them to give back. When we give, not only do we honor God, we are transformed!
GROWING IN SERVICE
"Good job!" Finishing a project at work, a chore around the house, or an assignment from school brings such a sense of fulfillment. We recognize that each of us was created with a purpose to live for; with a place in this world. Our desire is to see everyone discover how they can serve God and one another with talents, abilities, and relationships they've been given and to equip them to live it out.
GROWING IN LOVE
Love may not fill our stomachs or clothe our children but it gives us the strength we need to get through the toughest life has to offer. We could say that if God really loved us, why do we have the problems that we do. The all-time greatest act of love was when Jesus Christ suffered and died on a cross for each of us to come back into love with God. This love, in action, has the power to meet every need and turn lives back to God. Our desire is to be a place where love is found in one another and unleashed back into the world.
